

For a weekend of food, fun, and fantastic entertainment, join us for the 16th Annual Grenada Lake "Thunder on Water" Safe Boating Festival. The festival has been voted one of the Top 20 Festivals in the Southeast for the month of June by the Southeast Tourism Society seven years in a row!
Over 250 volunteers in the Grenada area will come together June 13th, 14th, & 15th to produce Grenada Lake's "Thunder on Water" Safe Boating Festival. The Festival is in recognition of National Safe boating Week. With this in mind, programs stressing water and boat safety are conducted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Festivities begin on Wednesday with the Rebel Amusements Midway Carnival, which features rides, games, and great food. The arts and crafts fair will begin on Friday morning, featuring many artists and their treasures. To kick off the weekend festivities there will be choreographed fireworks show Friday night. Other weekend activities will include a children's fishing rodeo, ALL-PRO Productions Wrestling featuring W.W.E. Superstars Kamala and Jerry "The King" Lawler, a Rodeo, and a car, truck, & bike show. For the sports lovers there will be a run and a walk at the lake and a 2 day softball tournament.
All the best things in life are free and Thunder on Water is no exception. There is no charge for general admission to the park or parking. So, bring your sunglasses, a lawn chair, and join us at Grenada Lake's "Thunder on Water" Festival the second weekend of June!
The Zambelli Fireworks Extravaganza will occur Friday, June13th at 9:30pm. The event is free and can be best viewed from the dam or the lake shore. The Fireworks will be 15 minutes of breathtaking excitement. Starting at 5:00pm, parking will be allowed on the dam top going in the northern direction. Vehicles must be moved by 10:30 pm or will be towed at owner's expense.
